Woman, 85, found dead after leaving assisted-living facility
• Tampa Bay TimesAn 85-year-old woman was found dead in a creek today after she was reported missing from an assisted-living facility in Clearwater.
Lydia Jermann, 85, of 1520 Jeffords St., Apt. 322, was seen sleeping in her room at 3:30 a.m. Staff of the Highlands Terrace assisted-living facility then reported her missing at about 1:30 p.m., according to the Clearwater police department.
Volunteers from several agencies including the Clearwater police and volunteers, Americorps and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office helicopter searched for her.
About 4:30 p.m., her body was found by a detective while searching a creek on the west side of 1550 Lotus Path.
